Style du Jour

Sometimes, I look in my closet, and I don't really know what to wear. So this is what I put together in my almost-being-late-kinda morning.

• Hat: Zara
• Shirt: Forever 21
• Skirt: Mexx
• Shoes: Aldo

The shoes are purple. The skirt is striped and grey. The tights are dark blue. The shirt is grey and dark blue. I never wear blue! But with this, it just doesn't quite seem blue! Kind of confusing, but true! :)

My Three Newest Hats

I love hats! I also love shoes and purses and bracelets and necklaces and earrings and watches, etc. Haha!

For now, here are pictures of my newest hats.

I didn't like the button that was on this hat so I took it off. I replaced it with this vintage shoe clip. I have many similar clips so I can change it up once in a while without needing my needle and thread.

It started with these pants that I had never ever worn.

Yesterday, after a year is my second closet - where I keep the stuff I don't usually wear - I converted them into shorts.

Now, I have to wear more versions of this outfit! I love it!

Here is a close-up of the necklaces I wore. The gold one is actually a vintage belt that I either wear as a necklace or a blacelet.

I can't wait to wear them.

When you cut pants to make them shorter, make sure you cut them from the side (see picture below) and not like the pictures above.

Style du Jour in Africa

A few years ago, I was able to teach teachers in Africa for a few weeks in the summertime. Packing my suitcase was different. Here is the typical outfit I wore.

While there, a "couturier" made me a top. I appreciated it!

I've been a blogger for one month now! I love it! I'm not a mother, but I need to decide if I want to be. So this will maybe help a little! I have four nephews and some of my friends have kids. I'm a godmother to one of my nephews and to one of my friend's little girl! I love them!
